Additional Information
| Location | Deck 1 | |
| Description | The command and control centre of the Chariot class USS Icarus. Features access to all ships systems via the LCARS 2.1 holographic interfaces. Based on designed derived from Human, and Vulcan aesthetics, the bridge design attempts to combine form into its function. Following a standard bridge layout popular starting in the mid-24th century the bridge follows a 25th century twist. The Fore of the bridge is dominated by the ship's view screen, a large Transparent Aluminum plate showing a view into space. The aft portion of the Bridge are connections to the ship's Ward room, Port Side Turbolift junction and Starboard the Captain's Ready Room. Centralized around a raised aft section of the bridge, the Command Platform is where the Commanding Officer, Executive Officer sit. At the highest view point of the bridge, the ship's Commander has a view of all stations and access to their bridge officers. As has become standard on larger Starfleet vessels there is also a chair for an auxiliary officer or guest on the bridge to sit. Port side of the bridge, aft the Mission Ops II station can be found, this contextually modifiable station is occupied on an as needed basis and can serve many functions. Continuing along the port side of the bridge is the Tactical and Engineering stations in their own raised platform. Fore of this station is the auxiliary Engineering station/Navigation station. Starboard side of the bridge is the Mission Ops I station. Like its Port side counterpart the MO-I is modifiable on an as needed basis. For the Daedalus' mission into the Reef Stars this station has been set aside for SAR Operations monitoring. Following forward is the Science I & II Stations on their own raised platform. Fore of the Science Platform is the Portal FTL Drive Monitoring station. This station is manned and monitored when the Daedalus' experimental FTL drive is in use. The Officer in charge of this station works closely with the Flight Control Officer on Duty. Directly forward on the bridge in front of the large View Screen are the Operations (Port) and Flight Control (Starboard) stations. Staffed at all times these officers are supported by those stations aft of them during Starship Operations. |
